BRAINTREE, MA -- Board of License Commissioners here ruled unanimously on Jan. 24 that a local Dave & Buster's was not guilty of liquor license violations in two unrelated Jan. 7 incidents of customer misbehavior at the store.
The $14 million venue finally opened in early December 2011 following years-long application and vetting processes. It's equipped with 150 games, as well as a restaurant and bar.
The board hearing, taking place at a town hall meeting, was the climax of a weeks-long investigation by city officials, following police reports that two men got into a fight at the D&B's location on a Saturday night while a third man snuck a glass of liquor outdoors and drank it in the parking lot.
D&B's was not responsible for either incident and has strong measures in place to ensure orderly conduct and responsible drinking, officials ruled.
D&B's flew several officials from its Dallas headquarters to the hearing, including president Dolf Berle and security director James Brussow.
