Police Stage Raids On Gray Games In Ohio, Texas

METRICH, OH and BROWNSVILLE, TX -- Local police, aided by representatives of the Ohio's attorney general and county law enforcement agents, raided a dozen alleged illegal gambling locations in four cities in Richland County on Oct. 6.

Police seized computers and more than $66,000 in cash, along with other alleged contraband. No arrests were made, but authorities have filed gambling charges against the businesses and their staff members.

In Brownsville, TX, police executed two series of surprise raids on eight-liner locations in late September and early October.

In the second raid, officers hit two game arcades. They seized 70 machines and arrested four individuals. | SEE STORY

Eight-liner operation is legal in Texas, but prizes are limited to noncash merchandise worth $10 or less.
