WASHINGTON -- The National Confectioners Association has named Liz Reilly vice-president of government affairs. In her new role on the trade association's public policy and advocacy team, Reilly will coordinate state and federal legislative initiatives and advocate for the confectionery industry with key legislative and government staff and other advocacy groups on both the national and local political levels.
Before joining NCA, Reilly served as executive director of special initiatives for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In that role, and in her previous position as director of the Chamber's TradeRoots program, Reilly directed pro-business coalitions to advocate on the federal and state level and developed and implemented outreach strategy, including testifying before federal and state legislatures, lobbying, grassroots outreach and member education.
Before joining the staff of the U.S. Chamber in 2006, Reilly directed international and federal programs for the National Paint and Coatings Association where she managed lobbying efforts, grassroots activities and public outreach programs.
