CHICAGO -- After an extensive review process, Aristocrat Technologies Inc.
has named Moss Gaming Inc., a unit of Moss
Distributing Inc., its exclusive distributor for
Illinois's video gaming market. Under the agreement,
Moss will market games in three of Aristocrat's popular
cabinet models: the Mav 500, Viridian 19" and
Crown Slant.
Aristocrat COO Seamus McGill cited Moss's service
experience and strong relationships with operators as
determining factors in the appointment.
The 50-year-old amusement equipment
distributorship, headed by Terry Moss, is
headquartered in Des Moines, IA, and maintains
offices in Kansas City, MO, St. Joseph, MI, Minneapolis and
now Chicago. It recently acquired a 21,300-sq.ft.
facility in Wooddale, IL, which opens this month, and
plans to set up an office in southern Illinois later this
year. Moss revealed plans to enter the budding Illinois
gambling market last year when it announced a
partnership with The Funding Stop, a specialist in
video gaming terminal financing.
"Aristocrat has proven its game quality and performance
in the Midwest by capturing over 25% of the video
gaming market in casinos," Moss said.
Las Vegas-based Aristocrat Technologies is a subsidiary
of Aristocrat Leisure Ltd., an Australian operator and
manufacturer of gaming machines and management
systems. Its products are licensed by more than 200
regulators and available in over 90 countries.
