David Merrick, A Saverino Veteran, Dies At 52

David Merrick obituary PARKVILLE, MO -- David Thomas Merrick, a veteran in the vend broker trade, died on Feb. 20 after losing a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 52.

Merrick was born in East St. Louis, IL, grew up in Hermann, MO, and in 1979 moved to Kansas City. He later joined Saverino & Associates Inc. and in 1997 he became a senior sales associate, a position at which he excelled, his employer said. He also met his wife, Elizabeth Cordero, in 1997 and they were married in The Philippines, her native country, the next year.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; brother George Merrick Jr.; sisters Cheryl Passanise and Mary Jane Brown; nieces Denise, Georgia and Rebecca; nephews Jeffrey, Aaron, Jason and Jack; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
