CEDAR RAPIDS, IA -- Club Lucky Group LLC has named Larry Elbert president of the nationwide alliance of coin machine equipment and tournament operators. Elbert is owner of Camden Amusement, based here. He succeeds Matt Pascal of Entertainment Experts (Denver).

Separately, Club Lucky announced the formation of a board of directors. Seated on the board are Joe Bossolina of McGee Amusements Inc. (Ridgefield, NJ) and Dale Lazar of H. Lazar & Son Inc. (Pittsburgh), along with the group's founding charter members, who include Pascal and Elbert, as well as Jeff and Kama Reed of B.J. Novelty (Covington, KY); Jason Rubin of A.J. Video (Baltimore); Matt Verdura of Full Spectrum Vending (Macomb, MI); Tim Zahn of American Amusement Arcades (Minneapolis); Bill Lethert of Mendota Valley Amusement (Inver Grove Heights, MN); and Larry Lindelow of Vending Resources (Houston, TX).

The group consists of 34 amusement companies that conduct national tournaments and contests on coin-op games, and award prizes to players. Its primary emphasis is on tavern and restaurant accounts. Founded in 2006 at a meeting held in the restaurant from which it took its name, Club Lucky serves more than 7,000 locations. Its members collectively spend more than $75 million annually on games and music equipment, parts, products and services, and have more than 40,000 pieces "on the street."
