BRISTOL, PA -- Massachusetts rockers Godsmack were spotlighted on the AMI Entertainment Network during a special promotion sponsored by the jukebox company and Universal Music Group. The group's latest album, "The Oracle," was featured between July 6 and Aug. 3 with "touch-to-win" messages inviting jukebox patrons to enter a contest for a chance to win a Gibson Les Paul guitar signed by band members.
Some 3,300 Godsmack fans entered the contest, AMI reported, with the grand prize going to a jukebox patron from Grand Island, NE.
Godsmack has been a popular rock act since first appearing on the music charts in 1995. "The Oracle" features 10 new tracks that AMI describes as "aggressive." Band frontman Sully Erna will be releasing a solo album, "Avalon," on Sept. 14.
