PULASKI, WI -- Bay Tek Games' new novelty shooter may be enjoyed by one or two players. Cannonball Blast invites patrons to fire a cannon at a pirate ship.
In gameplay, good aim results in a shot knocking out two planks from the ship's side. If the player knocks out all six visible planks with no more than three shots, the feat qualifies him or her for a bonus, which can be won by repeating the exploit with the next three shots.
Bay Tek sales and marketing director Rich Rochetti explained that great attention was paid to creating an amusement that children can enjoy, but with a sufficiently difficult bonus option to challenge even skillful players. He observed that it is an ideal complement to the company's popular current shooting games, Horse Play and Sky Masters.
Bay Tek launched Cannonball Blast at the first-ever Amusement Expo in Las Vegas. A highlight of the show was the presentation of the prestigious Manufacturer of the Year award to Bay Tek at the opening ceremony. It was accepted by chief executive Larry Treankler, marketing manager Holly Meidl and Rochetti.
The Amusement Expo is cosponsored by the Amusement and Music Operators Association and the American Amusement Machine Association. The next staging is set for March 1 through 3, 2011, again at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
