RIMINI, Italy -- Italy's long-running fall amusements and gaming show, Enada Roma, will be held from Oct. 6 through 8 at the Fiera di Roma exhibition center in Rome.
Staged by the nation's public-amusement equipment industry association SAPAR, Enada is sponsored by Italy's state monopolies administration AAMS and managed by Rimini Fiera here.
Striving to build on the growing success of Enada Roma, the managers of its 38th edition are promoting it extensively, and have booked additional exhibit space. The 2010 show will occupy halls 1,2 and 4 at Fiera di Roma and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Last year's fall Enada attracted 200 exhibitors and drew 13,371 industry visitors.
Spearheading the enhanced promotional campaign is Rimini advertising agency Gambarini & Muti, which created the 2010 show's logotype: three golden dice numbered with the dates and days of the show and bearing faint circuit traces symbolic of modern solid-state game design. The agency pointed out that dice are an ancient representation of games (not exclusively wagering) and an emblem of decisive action. Julius Caesar, resolving to cross the Rubicon river (north of Rimini) in defiance of the Roman Senate, is said to have remarked, "the die is thrown."
Visitors to Enada Rome 2010 will have the opportunity to see the latest videogames, pinball machines, billiard tables, table soccer, accessories and spare parts, as well as automatic dispensers, amusement arcade and bingo hall technology, along with a variety of services and security systems. A large area will be reserved for the key players in online gaming, which the show's organizers see as a new frontier in amusement.
Information on Enada Rome may be found online at enada.it (in Italian and English).
Enada Spring 2011 will again be held in Rimini at that city's Expo Centre, starting on March 16.
Enada originally was the Esposizione Nazionale di Apparecchi da Divertimento Automatici, but has attained international stature in recent years. SAPAR is the Sezioni Apparecchi per Pubbliche Attrazioni Ricreative of Italy's umbrella entertainment industries association AGIS, the Associazione Generale Italiana Spettacolo. AAMS is the Amministrazione autonoma dei monopoli di Stato.
