CINCINNATI -- AdvancePierre Foods has named Michael Sims chief financial officer.
Sims spent more than two decades in a variety of accounting and finance roles with Chiquita Brands International Inc., most recently as senior vice-president and chief financial officer.
AdvancePierre chief executive Bill Toler said Sims's financial leadership with capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and financial operations make him an ideal fit for the company's strategic plans in the coming years.
AdvancePierre Foods, based in Cincinnati, OH, supplies handheld convenience foods and value-added protein products to the vending, foodservice, school, military, c-store, retail and club channels.
