LITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ -- The 17th annual New Jersey Amusement Association charity golf tournament tees off with a new name this year. The newly named Fritz Rolle Legacy Golf Outing will be held Sept. 16 at the Sea Oaks Golf Club here. The title honors Frederick "Fritz" Rolle, who died on April 3.
A lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore, Rolle was a fixture in the region's amusement industry, most recently with Jenkinson's South at Point Pleasant Beach. A member of the NJAA's board of directors for more than 30 years, he also served as its president from 1992 to 1993. Rolle also founded the annual charity golf event that now carries his name.
Proceeds from the golf outing will be donated to Give the Kids the World, a nonprofit organization that supports children with life-threatening illnesses for which Rolle helped raise funds for many years.
