INDIANAPOLIS -- The AMOA-National Dart Association and Valley National 8-Ball Association will host their first-ever joint educational conference for operators and league coordinators who are members of either organization. League SMART, which combines NDA's Dart Summit and VNEA's Charter Holder Workshop, will be held here from July 29 to 31.
League operators and promoters involved in both darts and pool will only need to fund the expense of attending one conference instead of two, explained NDA president Chris Warren of Capital Music (Helena, MT). "We have put together a great event where all operators can come together, compare strategies and learn best practices from one another," he added.
Brad Circone, president of branding agency Circone + Associates, will keynote the first League SMART. Circone was raised in the coin-op industry and has developed branding programs for Medalist Marketing, Merit Entertainment, AMI Entertainment Network and TouchTunes, as well as distributors and operators.
"Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak face-to-face with NDA and VNEA representatives, along with the industry's leading manufacturers," said VNEA president Mike Fowler. "This combined format allows for attendees to learn from the best of the best from both associations at one event."
League SMART participants have the option of taking part in several breakout sessions ranging on topics from social media, league scheduling and business diversification. Registration is free to NDA or VNEA members and is open to nonmembers for $275.
