Plant Bottle ATLANTA -- The Coca-Cola Co. and Ford Motor Co. are collaborating on an interior vehicle fabric made from the same renewable material used to produce Coca-Cola's PlantBottle packaging.

The two companies unveiled a pilot Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid in which the interior fabric surfaces are made with Coca-Cola PlantBottle technology. The fabric consists of up to 30% plant-based materials.

The research vehicle marks the first time PlantBottle technology is applied beyond packaging. It will be on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show taking place now.
