INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The AMOA-National Dart Association inducted two association members of long standing into its Hall of Fame at the recent Team Dart Ceremony and Players Party in Las Vegas. NDA Hall of Fame membership honors individuals who have demonstrated exemplary service and dedication to the National Dart Association and furtherance of the sport.

Bernie Marsh

This year, NDA chose Cora Mahoney and Bernie Marsh for the Hall of Fame. Mahoney and her husband own C&M Darts (Longwood, FL). Both have been NDA members for 18 years; Cora attended her first Team Dart tournament in May 1995, and worked as a staff member. She was elected to the NDA board of directors, joined the tournament committee in 1996 and remains an active committee member. Mahoney served two terms on the board and became NDA president in 2001.

Bernie Marsh, Lady Luck Vending (Dickinson, ND), has been involved with the NDA for 22 years. Marsh has been part of the Team Dart tournament since replying to an advertisement in the association's ThrowLines magazine, and "has stuck around ever since," becoming a certified referee and serving as NDA president in 2003.

"The NDA is forever indebted to Mahoney and Marsh," said current president Marcia Petersen. "Their countless hours of volunteerism and dedication has helped the NDA to become the entity it is today, and their contributions deserve to be recognized in a permanent manner."

Hall of Fame candidates are evaluated on criteria including, but not limited to, their levels of contribution locally, nationally and internationally over the last 10 years, program and sponsor development, tournament and leadership service, and success in building increased awareness of the sport.

NDA is an international trade association of coin-operated vending companies representing some 300 member operations and 250,000 players worldwide. It was established by and for coin machine operators, to promote the sport of electronic darting exclusively on operator-owned equipment. The association offers programs, materials and supplies to assist its members to increase the profitability of their dart operations.

NDA and Team Dart are sponsored by the Amusement and Music Operators Association, Arachnid Inc., Cyberdine d.o.o., Gaelco Darts, Medalist Corp., NSM-Löwen Entertainment GmbH and Shelti Inc.

Information about membership in the NDA, its annual international Team Dart competition and the biennial League SMART educational conference may be requested from membership director Kim Paugh at (800) 808-9884 x180.
