LAS VEGAS -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association will host an all-day micromarket seminar to lead off its OneShow this spring at the Venetian/Sands Resort here. It will be presented by longtime vending pro Brad Bachtelle of Bachtelle and Associates on Tuesday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Titled "Where We Are, Where We're Going and How to Get There," the session will include new data on current industry micromarket installations.
Bachtelle will explore the differences between micromarkets and vending, including an analysis of return on investment variations and the operating challenges and opportunities unique to each self-service retail model. He will also provide examples of best practices from operators with existing placements of the self-checkout stores.
Other topics of interest will include best practices for merchandising and managing the wider range of SKUs sold in the mini c-stores, relative to vending, along with consumer marketing and promotional opportunities.
The registration price is $129 through March 31, but goes up to $169 thereafter.
