PURCHASE, NY -- Pepsi has unveiled a new single-serve bottle for its namesake cola portfolio, including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi MAX and Pepsi NEXT. The makeover is the first design update to the 16- and 20-fl.oz. bottle formats since 1996.
The new bottles feature an enlarged version of PepsiCo's globe logo, a shorter label with a "cola colored" border, and an etched, grip-able bottom. A redesigned 12-fl.oz. glass bottle will also be offered as a premium package in select stores. PepsiCo said additional elements will be incorporated into the redesign and rolled out throughout the year.
Kicking off the brand's Excitement of Now marketing campaign, the bottle is rolling out nationwide starting in April, with full conversion projected to take a few years.
