SEATTLE -- Avanti Markets, a trailblazer in self-checkout micro markets, is seeking a new president, a month after Jim Brinton purchased a majority stake in the company.
Brinton has served as Avanti's interim president since early July. The company is based in Seattle, WA, where Brinton owns Evergreen Vending Service, a full-line vending business, and Vending Equipment Center, an equipment distributorship.
With customers in almost all 50 states, and Brinton said Avanti has reached two milestones this summer: delivering its 500th kiosk in early July, and achieving $1 million in sales across its operator network.
"With Avanti reaching these latest significant milestones, the company is now in a position to have a permanent president to assist myself and my team as we continue our strong growth ahead," Brinton said.
Brinton's former partners, Kevin Bailey and Aaron Speagle, owner of Piedmont Vending Co., have reportedly launched Breakroom Provision Co., a competing provider of unattended micro-markets based in Conover, NC.
A year ago, VT columnist Allan Z. Gilbert described Avanti Markets, and "alternative automated retailing" in general, as a game changer. | SEE ARTICLE
