NIAGARA FALLS, ON, Canada -- The Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association paid tribute to industry members with distinguished records of achievement and service to vending and coffee service at an awards dinner highlighting its annual convention and trade show in late September here.
The prestigious Don Storey Memorial Award, which is presented only in years when a suitable candidate is identified, was given to Ronald (Ron) Kane, Kane's Distributing Ltd. (St. Catharines, ON). He was chosen in recognition of his innovations and other contributions to the vending industry in Canada and the United States.
The Stuart Daw Gold Service Award was presented to Ernest Noble, Café Vittoria Inc. (Sherbrooke, QC), to express the esteem in which he's held by his industry colleagues for an outstanding record of service to the OCS and vending industry. Noble has been a CAMA member for more than four decades.
Brian Martell, Heritage Coffee Co. (Montreal), won the CAMA Customer Service Award for 2012, honoring his personal approach to customers and exceptional commitment to addressing their needs and concerns. Martell is a recipient of the Don Storey Award (2008) and the Stuart Daw Gold Service Award (2010) and so is the first CAMA member to earn all three accolades.
