SHANGHAI, China -- National Automatic Merchandising Association board chairman Craig Hesch, Hesch Management Group (Rolling Meadows, IL), will deliver a keynote address at the 7th China Vending & OCS show here.
The event is set for the Intex Shanghai exhibition center from June 25 through 27. Hesch will speak on Saturday, June 26, on the subject of vending in the United States.
The 2010 event will be the fifth China Vending show at which NAMA has been represented. In 2006, president and chief executive Richard M. Geerdes led the U.S. delegation to the show, accompanied by executive vice-president and chief operating officer Dan Mathews. Last year, Mary Rampe of MEI (West Chester, PA), a member of the NAMA board, delivered the inaugural address at the new Intelligent Automatic Vending and Self-Service Summit Forum at the show.
This year, NAMA Coffee Service Committee chairman Butch Winkler, Holiday House Distributing (Land O' Lakes, FL), will be among a number of U.S. industry members attending the event.
The show's organizers report that, after seven years of hard work, the China Vending & OCS Show has grown into an international industry event, drawing participants from all parts of the world and serving not only as a barometer of the vending industry in China, but as an indicator of its direction. Organizing Committee spokesperson Alex Chen observed that visitors to this year's show also will have the opportunity to visit World Expo Shanghai 2010, which is running until Oct. 31 and attracting more than 300,000 visitors a day.
