CHARLOTTE, NC -- Snyder's-Lance Inc. has acquired Stateline Service Corp., a snack food distributor based in Massachusetts. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Stateline distributes Snyder's-Lance products and other snack food lines through its direct store delivery system. Snyder's-Lance has grown and strengthened its own DSD network through a series of acquisitions in recent years.
The Stateline routes will be integrated with Snyder's-Lance's DSD network, which the Charlotte, NC, snack giant said will help it better serve its retail customers while leveraging supply chain and other efficiencies.
"Through closer working relationships with key retailers, we expect to build on the successful business that Stateline has developed in this important geographic area," said Ed Good, president of S-L Distribution Co., a Snyder's-Lance subsidiary.
The company's snack brands, sold widely in vending, include Snyder's of Hanover, Lance and Cape Cod.
