SPRINGHOUSE, PA -- The Tri-State Automatic Merchandising Council will hold its first annual John Boyle Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament here at the Old York Country Club on Sept. 14. The trade group is a state council of the National Automatic Merchandising Association and represents the industry in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
Members will gather for lunch at 11:30 a.m.; the golf tournament gets underway at 12:30 p.m. A dinner meeting will follow the tournament.
The event benefits a scholarship fund in memory of longtime Tri-State member John Boyle, remembered for tirelessly advocating on the industry's behalf and scoring numerous legislative victories. Boyle died last fall. | SEE OBITUARY
The scholarship recipient will receive full tuition to the NAMA and Michigan State University Executive Development Program in October.
Evening festivities begin at 5 p.m. with a cocktail reception followed by a silent auction and dinner. The association will present its annual Harry Mowery Award, which recognizes a Tri State member for his or her great passion for the vending industry.
