AVON, CO -- The next president of the Amusement and Music Operators Association will be distributor John Pascaretti of Pascaretti Enterprises (Warren, MI), reports AMOA executive vice-president Jack Kelleher.
Although AMOA is primarily an equipment operators' organization, it has customarily included manufacturers, distributors and suppliers in its membership ranks. Bob Nims (1980) of Lucky Coin Machine Co. and AMA Distributors, an operation and dealership based in Metairie, LA, is among the distributors who has served as AMOA president.

Pascaretti will take the reins of AMOA at the conclusion of Amusement Expo, which runs from March 20 to 22 in Las Vegas. He will succeed Andy Shaffer of Shaffer Services (Columbus, OH).
Other officers were also elected at the AMOA midyear board meeting, which took place from Sept. 21 to 24 in Avon, CO, at the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain. They are Bobby Hogin, Hogin Amusements (Dickson, TN), first vice-president; Jerry Johnston, Amusement Unlimited (Eugene, OR), treasurer; and Gaines Butler, Metro Distributors (Norcross, GA), secretary.
Additionally, three vice-presidents were elected, and their three-year stints will also commence following the show next March. They are Marty Murin, Rainbow Falls Video Service (Tannersville, NY); Tony Paszkiewicz, Columbia Amusements (Baltimore); and Greg Trent, Beyer & Brown (South Daytona Beach, FL).
Kelleher said 17 working committees met during the course of the three-day gathering. The midyear board meeting concluded with a four-hour board of directors' session in which the work of those 17 committees, along with other old and new business, was reported on, reviewed and voted upon by the 39 directors in attendance.
