Sweets & Snacks Expo, formerly the All Candy Expo, has attracted 484 exhibitors, according to NCA president Larry Graham, representing a 7.5% increase over last year's exhibitor roster.
Retailer registration also is up, said Michael Rosenberg, Promotion in Motion Cos., who chairs the 2010 Sweets & Snacks Expo committee. "Candy and snacks are a $300 billion industry worldwide, and the industry knows that the Sweets & Snacks Expo is the best place to discover what's new in their categories," he said
On tap at the 2010 show are a new product showcase at the exhibit entrance, a merchandising solution center and a gourmet marketplace showcasing organic, natural and upscale products.
The educational segment includes a series of "Go-to-Market" sessions led by key retailers on the day before the show opens, as well as keynote sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 25 and 26. Held before the exhibits open, these will present ideas and insights to help candy and snack retailers expand their businesses.
Exhibits will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday (May 25 and 26), and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday (May 27).
