BALTIMORE -- Weiner Distributing Co. has announced that Chuck Weiner will resign his position as president, effective June 29.
Plans to reorganize the company under new management have begun, and the company plans to report those details within a week. Operations are expected to continue from a new location in Baltimore, with no interruption in service.
Founded in Baltimore in 1984, Weiner Distributing Co. is a factory-authorized sales and service provider for most major coin-op amusement machine manufacturers.
"It is with mixed emotions that I announce my resignation as president of Weiner Distributing Co.," the retiring company principal said. "A rare opportunity to make a smooth exit from the distribution end of the business has presented itself.
"The amusement industry is still in my blood," he continued. "I've managed to keep busy for over 35 years, and I have no intention of slowing down. I have a lot of things I want to do with my life. Now is just the right time to start the next leg of my journey."
Weiner and his son Matthew will continue to operate their own amusement location in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
