DOVER, VT -- Vermont and Massachusetts police are hoping someone in the New England vending community recognizes a thief caught on camera who has been on a crime spree in the region since early winter.

Officer Rich Werner of Vermont's Dover Police Department said the alleged thief likely works in the vending business or with a locksmith, or has such prior experience, given the ease with which he has burglarized vending machines at locations ranging from ski resorts to rest stops.

"It appears as though he comes out of Massachusetts or Connecticut, as there were similar pictures in Massachusetts, and a rest area in Vermont had its machines broken into that is between here and Massachusetts," Werner told Vending Times.

Information on the suspect can be reported to the Dover Police Dept. at (802) 464-8722.
