SALEM, NH — Fantasy Entertainment reports that all backorders for its Eventure photobooth have been shipped and the portable model designed for the rentals and events market is now available. The photobooth company announced general availability for the machine during last month’s PDN PhotoPlus International Conference and Expo in New York City, where the Eventure was nominated for a “Best New Product” award.
Advance orders for machines opened in June and they began shipping in August. “After filling our initial round of orders, we’re pleased to announce that the Eventure is now available for immediate delivery,” said Fantasy president and chief executive Dale Valvo.
For applications requiring greater portability, Fantasy Entertainment developed the attended system that breaks down into two parts for transport in heavy-duty road cases weighing about 50 lbs. each. It’s easily readied for use by erecting a light framework that supports a continuous fabric background, roof and side panel, then unfolding the imaging components – a module containing lights, camera and monitor, and another housing the printer – and attaching the camera unit to the framework’s front supports.
The operator sits outside the imaging space, with easy access to printer and computer. Customers enter the assembled booth from the right and pick up their pictures from the left, permitting efficient traffic flow. The system offers three of Fantasy’s output options: the traditional Foto Fun Strips, the unique Foto Cube and the classic Portrait Studio. Photo output is customizable through a Web-based graphic design tool. The booth also supports Fantasy’s Event Manager software, which allows operators to import custom graphics, manage files and folders, export photos to USB flash memory devices and burn photos to CDs – all at the push of a button.
“Eventure is a turnkey, easy-to-operate solution that’s perfect for the entrepreneur starting a dedicated photobooth rental business,” said Casey Cammann, Fantasy’s vice-president of business development. “And it’s also an important component to the growth strategy of established DJs, photographers and rental companies looking for additional revenue streams and innovative, affordable ways to differentiate themselves from the competition.”
Eventure’s utility and design were recognized at last month’s PhotoPlus Expo, widely regarded as the leading photography show. “The way it opens up the photobooth rental market by enabling new business opportunities for service providers while providing a classic entertainment experience for their clientele makes it a product truly worthy of this [Best New Product] nomination,” said show director Jeff McQuilkin.
Started in 1995 with 15 photobooths, Fantasy Entertainment has grown into the largest owner/operator of electronic self-service photo-imaging systems in North America, with more than 3,000 photo, portrait and sticker kiosks in top consumer destinations throughout the U.S. Information on the Eventure is available at fantasyent.com/eventure.
