SCHAUMBURG, IL - (Posted Feb. 27) After eight years of not being manufactured by anyone, the classic puck bowler alley game is back from a new company called ShuffleAlley.com. Principals are industry veterans Jack Guarnieri (best known for his pinballsales.com trade to the home market) and Joe Balser (a former Stern pinball designer), in partnership with Betson Enterprises, which will serve as master distributor for the product. Updated with an overhead monitor, computerized game programming, modem connection and plans for online tournament support, the game also features plenty of hip attitude - from George Thorogood's "Bad to the Bone" musical soundtrack to trash-talking video footage of star pro bowler Parker Bohn III. The debut version, called "Parker Bohn III Pro Bowler" is expected to cost well under $5,000. The game will be displayed at next month's Amusement Showcase International and at the Nightclub & Bar show, both in Las Vegas. For more information, operators can visit www.shufflealley.com or contact Betson.
