MILAN, Italy -- The European Vending Association unveiled its new logotype at the 2010 Venditalia show here on April 28. The redesigned logo consists of five Vs arranged radially to form a star whose color varies from red through yellow and green to blue counterclockwise around the star. "European Vending Association" is printed in sans serif type, all capitals, on two right-justified lines, in blue.
Symbolically, EVA is imagined in the center of the star; the Vs represent the various segments of the vending industry and the European Union institutions and other partners with which the industry interacts. The color spectrum depicts the extended range of products and services offered by the vending industry. The blue typography connects the association to the EU domain, and the majuscule characters symbolize confidence.
EVA director-general Catherine Piana introduced the insignia during the press conference hosted by the Italian national vending association, Confida, before the formal opening of Venditalia.
Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, EVA represents the vending industry across Europe. Membership consists of operators, suppliers and equipment manufacturers, along with 20 national trade associations.
Venditalia is staged every two years. The next show is set for May 9 through 12, 2012, again at the Fieramilanocity exhibition center in Milan.
