Repurpose Compostables Cups

LOS ANGELES -- Repurpose Compostables announced the debut of its 100% compostable One Cup insulated hot cup.

The cups are made from plants, not petroleum, using Cargill Inc.'s plant-based NatureWorks Ingeo resin and are certified compostable. The revolutionary One Cup reportedly uses 65% less carbon dioxide than a traditional cup to produce, and can be fully composted in 90 days.

While traditional insulated cups are made by adding additional layers of paper, the Repurpose One Cup reportedly does the same with its patented insulation material on a single-wall cup, eliminating the need for double-cupping and sleeves.

Founded in 2009, Repurpose Compostables produces a broad line of compostable foodservice products.
