(Posted January 5) - Loose Ends Vending has announced the purchase of Full Serve Vending (Elmira, NY) from the Pepsi Bottling Group. Full Serve Vending is a full-line operation with 14 routes.
The acquisition is the latest expansion move for Loose Ends Vending, which was established in 1984 and now is a Canteen franchise operation. Over the past two years, Loose Ends has expanded its coverage west to Buffalo and north to Rochester, NY, as well as southwest to Erie, PA.
Loose Ends Vending is part of a business, owned by the Houseknecht family, that has been involved in beverage distribution for more than a century. It became a Pepsi-Cola bottler almost 70 years ago. Its commitment to technological leadership as the key to enhancing service is described at its website, www.looseendsvending.com.
The Taran Corp. brokered the acquisition. "We are very pleased again with the diligent work performed by Tom and Matt Tarantelli of The Taran Corp.," the Houseknechts said. The Taran Corp. is a vending and coffee service broker/facilitator based in Fairport, NY. It can be contacted by calling (800) 724-1370, and maintains a website at www.tarancorp.com.
