LAS VEGAS -- The National Bulk Vendors Association and the organizers of the 2012 Amusement Expo have agreed to collocate their trade shows again next year. The shows will be held concurrently from March 14 through 16 (Wednesday through Friday) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Amusement Expo is jointly sponsored by the Amusement and Music Operators Association and the American Amusement Machine Association, and has superseded their separate trade shows. The National Bulk Vendors Association, which traditionally has held its annual trade show in the spring, collocated that show with Amusement Expo for the first time this year, and the success of this initiative has encouraged the three associations to do it again. | SEE STORY
"Moving forward, we're excited to build on the positive results experienced at this year's shows," said NBVA president Bernie Schwarzli of Beaver Machine (Newmarket, ON, Canada). "We're confident the 2012 version will be even better."
AAMA chairman David Cohen, Firestone Financial (Newton, MA), explained that the agreement was renewed after studying feedback from exhibitors and participants in t he 2011 event. "From the survey data and post-show discussions between those involved in planning and producing this year's events, it was clear the collocation was a winner," he reported. "The decision to do it again next year was an easy one."
The AAMA-AMOA Amusement Expo was established by the Amusement Machine Industry Trade Show (AMITS) collaboration between AMOA and AAMA in the fall of 2009.
"The goal of providing more value for our membership and industry by uniting and collocating trade events is one we continue to strive for," said AMOA president Donovan Fremin, Delta Music (Thibodaux, LA). "In the coming months, we will be working together closely to make the 2012 shows as productive and fun as possible."
