ATLANTA -- DS Waters of America Inc. said it will begin selling Fiji Water to its customers through its office and home delivery services. The two companies recently signed a three-year agreement. DS Waters will also fulfill orders originating from the Fiji Water website.
Fiji Waters' natural artesian water, bottled at the source in Viti Levu (Fiji islands), is reportedly the No. 1 imported bottled water brand and the top-selling premium bottled water in the U.S. The familiar square bottles are available in four sizes. Fiji sells its water at retail and in foodservice establishments, and delivers to homes and businesses in the continental U.S.
Separately, DS Waters announced that it has acquired the office and home bottled water delivery business of Echota Beverage Group Inc., which has been serving the greater Knoxville, TN, area since 2002.
The acquisition is the latest in a series for the Atlanta-based water and coffee service giant. Most recently, DS Waters' Sparkletts division acquired AquaOne's Utah-based office and home bottled water delivery business, and its Crystal Springs division purchased Chester Mountain Distributors Inc.'s Lindenhurst, NY, water delivery business.
Founded in 2003, DS Waters bottles water in one-, three- and five-gallon containers, as well as single-serve packages, under the brand names Alhambra, Belmont Springs, Crystal Springs, Hinckley Springs, Kentwood Springs, Sierra Springs and Sparkletts. It distributes water to millions offices and homes nationwide, and provides OCS through its Roast2Coast division.
