Illinois Lock Plastic Cam Lock

WHEELING, IL -- New from Illinois Lock Co. is a plastic cam lock designed to offer users a lower-cost alternative to traditional diecast zinc designs. Called PC634, the new lock also offers reduced weight.

The lock’s barrel and plug are formed of glass-filled nylon. According to the manufacturer, this reduces weight and cost substantially, without affecting the lock’s ability to provide adequate security.

Offered in black, the PC624 includes an 8-tumbler double-bitted keyring that allows for 50 keycodes. Most of its features parallel those of traditional diecast metal cam locks, the company explained. Both nut or clip mounting are available, and cams are offered in a range of straight, formed or hook patterns.

Illinois Lock Co. is a leading producer of cam locks, custom-engineered keyless locks, electric switch locks, high-security locks, weather-resistant locks, special purpose lock designs and ball bearing slides.
