PHOENIX -- The National Bulk Vendors Association has released its seminar schedule and roster of topics for its upcoming trade show and convention. This year's NBVA convention, which is collocated with Amusement Expo, is set to take place from March 14 through 16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Seminars have long been viewed among the most valued events of the annual bulk vending show. This year, rather than leave topic selection solely up to the NBVA planning committee's discretion, all active association members were encouraged to suggest areas of focus that they wanted to see covered seminars.
First proposed by seminar chairman Allan Pollock, Aftica Vend (Ridgeway, ON, Canada), the new "crowd-sourcing" method of choosing topics has been widely praised by both the association and operators in advance of the show.
NBVA's educational program begins on March 14, with two back-to-back seminars, and concludes March 15. The schedule and topics are:
» 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m., Wednesday, March 14: "I Made Money Last Year, Did You?" -- industry experts will provide tips for remaining profitable in a challenging economy.
» 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., Wednesday, March 14: "Are You The Most Innovative NBVA Operator?" -- designed to provide a new twist on the time-honored lecture with operators competing for a grand prize.
» 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., Thursday, March 15: "Getting New Locations: Walk out with a Yes!" -- bulk vending experts will provide concrete advice for landing new locations.
