WEST CHESTER, PA -- MEI again has enhanced the functionality of its Easitrax vending management system in response to customer suggestions and requests. The company also is introducing an add-on telemetry module.
Improving the functionality of the system are enhancements to the Easitrax 3.12 suite's pre-kitting and forecasting features. These include truck forecasting for OCS; smart-fill functionality incorporated into forecasting; separate warehouse issuing for pre-kitted and bulk routes; shared-column forecasting improvements; the ability to exclude specified machines from forecasting; expanded DEX capabilities; and compatibility with LightSpeed and Innovative Picking Technologies' "pick-to-light" warehouse automation systems.
MEI's new telemetry-based Easitrax module supports offline and on-line dynamic scheduling, alarm monitoring and error reporting. The technology enables operators to obtain more accurate machine sales and alarm data, which can be used to improve accuracy in the warehouse for pre-kitting and to make truck loading more efficient.
MEI reported that its field-proven telemetry-based technology has been used by operators for more than two years, and currently is running on more than 10,000 machines.
