SEATTLE -- Starbucks Coffee Co. is entering the energy drink arena with Starbucks Refreshers, set to hit the market nationwide in April.
The ready-to-drink carbonated beverage is made with real fruit juice, along with green coffee extract to fuel its energy-boosting attributes. It's offered in raspberry pomegranate, strawberry lemonade and orange melon. Each 12-fl.oz. can contains only 60 calories.
"The launch of Starbucks Refreshers beverages continues to support our growth strategy to innovate with new products, enter new categories and expand into new channels of distribution," said Annie Young-Scrivner, global chief marketing officer for Starbucks and president of Tazo Tea.
