COLOGNE, Germany -- The sixth presentation of the biennial Eu'Vend trade fair is set for the Cologne Fairgrounds from Sept. 19 through 21, 2013, once again in conjunction with the international coffee fair, coffeena. The show's organizers report that exhibitor interest is strong, and the event once again is shaping up as an important platform for the vending and coffee industries.
Eu'Vend is sponsored by the Bundesverband der Deutschen Vending-Automatenwirtschaft e.V. (BDV), the association of the German Vending Machine Industry. It also is supported by the European Vending Association. The Deutsche Röstergilde (German roasters' guild) is the partner of coffeena. The dual event is managed by Koelnmesse GmbH.
For the first time, the duo of trade shows will occupy the state-of-the-art Hall 9 at Cologne's exhibition center. This venue has its own trade fair entrance.
Eu'Vend+coffeena together cover, on the one hand, hot beverage and other vending machines, products (food and nonfood), payment systems and services, and, on the other hand, the complete coffee industry, from growing and harvesting to processing and preparation. For exhibitors and visitors alike, bringing the trade fairs together has paid off, the organizers explain, because the already high level of coffee expertise found at the Eu'Vend show has been enhanced by coffeena's exhibitors and registrants. The show's motto is "3 days, 2 fairs, 1 aim: your success."
Among vending machine manufacturers already committed to exhibiting are Azkoyen, Bianchi, Bonamat, Jakob Gerhard, N&W Global Vending, SandenVendo, Servomat Steigler, rheavendors and Sielaff. Companies in the coffee and cocoa sectors that have already confirmed their participation include Barry Callebaut, Burkhof Kaffee/Darboven, Kraft Foods, Laqtia, Nestlé, Schirmer Kaffee and Gebrüder Westhoff.
Showing their products and services in the payment systems theme group will be Deutsche Telekom, Mobile Payment, ICT, MEI and Microtonic. Tabletop appliance specialists Aequator, Animo and Jura also will exhibit their products, as will Kuchenmeister and Lorenz Bahlsen Snack World, in the product segment.
Companies presenting coffee cups will include Dopla, Flo, Huhtamaki and SwissPrimePack. Water filter companies such as 3M, Brita, Everpure/Pentair and water+ more also have confirmed their participation.
The event's organizers are working to enroll more exhibitors and assemble a timely and topical supporting program, including a series of conferences oriented to practical applications. The popular "Red Sofa" discussion forum at the center of the exhibit area will be further expanded, and additional amenities are in the works.
Eu'Vend has been held in Cologne every two years since the inaugural event in 2003. It was held in conjunction with coffeena for the first time in 2011. Approximately 5,600 trade visitors from 66 countries took advantage of the opportunity to network, place orders and get comprehensive information about vending machines and coffee.
