ROCKY HILL, CT -- The Connecticut Vending Association is hosting a general membership meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Dakota Steak House here. The meeting is open to both CVA members and nonmembers.

CVA's lobbyist is scheduled to provide a legislative update during the meeting. Dolores Malloy (no relation to the governor) of Malloy & Associates (Glastonbury) will discuss strategies for winning a tax exemption for vended products. For the past six years, CVA has been working with state legislators on pushing the exemption on all vended food and drinks up to $3.50, the same ceiling in neighboring Massachusetts.

Registration is $60 per person. Email CVA president Scott Miller , Maple Hill Farms Inc. (Bloomfield), for additional information.

"Come join us. It's a great way to start the year and get serious about our businesses," said CVA director Eric Mueller.
