LENEXA, KS -- Redemption Plus has acquired Aquabi Toy Co. (Iowa), a three-year-old company that develops open market toys. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Aquabi Toy's client base includes small specialty retailers, as well as small to midsize mass retailers.
Kyler Tarwater, the former vice-president of Aquabi Toy who joined Redemption Plus in June, observed that the Aquabi brand focuses on creating in-store impulse value where final purchase decisions are made. "An Aquabi dollar item will have the same look and feel of a major branded item," he said.
