Vistar is launching Ultimo! frozen personal pizzas for vending and self-checkout micromarkets. The 5" pizzas are available in classic cheese with oregano; topped with pepperoni, with both sliced and diced pieces; or with a combination topping of diced pepperoni and sausage. They can be merchandised in refrigerated or frozen vending machines and carry a 120-day frozen and 21-day thawed shelf life. The 5.75-oz. to 6-oz. pizzas are packaged with a "crisper disk" for an extra-crispy pizzeria-quality crust. Ultimo! pizza is widely distributed in foodservice through Vistar sister company Performance Foodservice.
