BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment Network has announced that Ecast's Mike Gilson will assist in the transition of former Ecast customers and equipment to the AMI jukebox network. Ecast Inc. (San Francisco) shut down its jukebox music network on March 1, and AMI became a secured creditor, gaining access to the Ecast assets needed to offer Ecast operators a way to continue running their digital downloading jukeboxes.
Gilson (pictured at right) had joined Ecast's technical support department in 2007, rose to the post of field engineer and then became account manager. On his present assignment at AMI, he will work to assure a smooth transition for Ecast operators as their equipment is updated to run on the AMI network.
The company also is expanding its music sales support by advancing Bob Howe, most recently East Coast and Southern sales representative for inside sales, to a new position providing additional music sales support in the Northwest region. Howe has been with AMI since 2010, and has more than 30 years of sales experience in a variety of industries.
AMI reports that it has worked diligently to support Ecast's operator base since that company exited the market, ensuring that its thousands of machines remained operational during the transitional period. AMI will soon begin permanently migrating these machines to the AMI jukebox network, giving Ecast operators access to its library of more than 900,000 songs and providing a top-tier operator experience.

AMI says its jukebox and videogame equipment and services are installed in 125,000 barrooms and restaurants around the globe.
