ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL - (Posted March 5) March 17 is the target day for Incredible Technologies to unveil "Golden Tee 2004," an extensive software update offered at the same price as last year's package, with the same quantity discounts and payment plans. "2004" features new, built-in promotions and seven new 18-hole courses - the first time so many courses have been released at once. As in previous editions, there will be three 18-hole offline courses and two 18-hole courses available only in online league play. Online tournaments begin on the new courses as of June 1. Two additional, easier-to-play courses are designed specifically for new players. A new online play feature called "Hole-N-Win" will occasionally prompt players to insert an additional dollar in order to have a chance to win a significant cash prize on their next shot. New promotions from sponsor Anheuser-Busch include conduct closest-to-the-pin contests run by wholesalers or by operators; players will pay $25 per hour to compete in this format. Operators share in the proceeds from both the $1 and $25 promotions but need not be present; operators can disable both features if desired. Operators can order the "2004" update at tel. (847) 870-7027 or www.itsgames.com; officials suggest ordering early to guarantee a place in the first shipment. Registered, dedicated tournament-capable units manufactured between Dec. 1, 2002 and March 17, 2003 qualify for a free "2004" update.
