CHARLESTON, SC -- The South Carolina Vending Association has opened online registration for its 2010 Winter Training Conference. The eagerly anticipated annual event is slated for the Francis Marion Hotel in this historic port city from Jan. 28 through 31.

A highlight of the program will be a three-hour session led by noted entrepreneur, consultant and author John Carroll. He will bring his firsthand experience in the service, distribution and manufacturing industries to bear on contemporary issues in the real world at the workshop, which is set for Jan. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Among recreational activities planned to enliven the proceedings at the conference is a Saturday Night Gala, a high-energy casino experience enhanced by music and dancing, and a reverse raffle to benefit SCVA's Scholarship Fund will come to its thrilling conclusion. Raffle tickets may be purchased for $50 each when registering for the conference, or onsite at the registration desk. Also on tap is the 9th Annual Don Head Memorial Golf Tournament, which will take place at Patriots Point Links.

Operators are encouraged to take advantage of SCVA's early-bird conference promotion by registering by Dec. 1 to receive a hotel room rate of $99 for Friday and Saturday nights. The permissible number of vouchers for this offer is based on 2010 dues. All conference-goers who register by Dec. 1 will receive a lunch voucher for Saturday afternoon in Charleston.

Information on the event may be had by calling (919) 459-2070, or by visiting the association’s website, scvend.com.
