| Milk Vending In 2005 Is Work In Progress With Great Potential

NORTH AMERICA - Milk vending is at a crossroads. With the introduction of plastic, resealable bottles in the late '90s, many vending operators jumped on the bandwagon, hoping to cash in on the sales potential of a product which had been sold for many years as a food item. Now returned to its former importance as an away-from-home cold beverage, milk is being positioned as something to drink outside of mealtimes.

LAS VEGAS - The Amusement and Music Operators Association this spring is toasting one of its biggest successes: the AMOA National Dart Association, which celebrates its 20th year this season. JACKSONVILLE, FL - The 55th annual National Bulk Vendors Association convention and trade show may have been slightly downsized from past years, but it packed a punch. According to initial figures released by the association, operator participation , with a total 535 registered for the show , was down some 30% from last year. Despite the lower visitor turnout, sales reported by exhibitors were higher compared with prior years.

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Dan Case of Tejas Distributors, headquartered in Round Rock, TX, was elected NBVA president, heading up a new leadership team that includes Peter Becker, What's Up, as vice-president; Steve Siegel, The Great American Vending Machine Co. (Hauppauge, NY), as treasurer; and Randy Chilton of Louisville, CO-based Sugarloaf Creations (now owned by Coinstar), as secretary.
