| Eu’Vend 2007 Wraps Up In Cologne; Breaks Attendance, Exhibit Records COLOGNE, Germany (October 2007) — Some 5,400 visitors from 62 countries attended Eu’Vend 2007 here, an increase of nearly 30% over the traffic at the 2005 event. Showgoers had the opportunity to learn about the latest in products and services for vending, displayed at 230 exhibits – also a record, up 13% from 2005. Held in alternate years, Eu’Vend is sponsored by the German vending association BDV and administered by Koelnmesse, the Cologne trade fair management company.

| | SuperPro Founders Return Firm To Private Ownership SPRINGFIELD, MO (September 2007) — The board of directors and officers of SuperPro Vending Group Inc. said they have determined that it is in the firm’s best interest to revert to operating as a private company. The transaction, which returns the business to 100% private ownership, was scheduled to close September 13.
| | VTL Group Seeks Buyer After Financing Subsidiary Folds Emily Jed AUCKLAND, New Zealand (September 2007) — Global vending machine franchisor VTL Group Ltd. reportedly is seeking a buyer after Nathans Finance New Zealand Ltd., a finance company wholly owned by the publicly traded VTL Group, went into receivership. Nathans owed about $103.5 million to 6,000 investors, according to reports published by the New Zealand Herald here.

Lead Law Tightens Standard For Vendible Toys Hank Schlesinger SACRAMENTO, CA (September 2007) — California has enacted the nation’s toughest safety standards for toys, which apply to capsuled novelties sold through bulk vending machines. The state’s new “Lead In Jewelry Law” will mandate civil penalties for anyone who manufactures, ships, sells or offers for sale children’s jewelry containing more than the specified amount of lead. The regulation is primarily geared toward retail stores and does not change rules already applicable to bulk vending operators.
| | Hugs Not Drugs Vend Drive Aids Needy School Children Larisa Jayne Shewczyk LAKE WORTH, FL (September 2007) — Hugs Not Drugs, a charitable organization managed by south Florida’s Family Life International, announced plans for the national rollout of its Vending Backpack Giveaway Program. The program aims to donate backpacks filled with school supplies such as pencils, scissors and notebooks to underprivileged elementary school children whose families cannot afford such items.
