BURLINGTON, ON, Canada — Sodexo and VIP Energy Services have entered an exclusive arrangement aimed at providing energy management services to current and future Sodexo clients.

VIP, a full-service energy management consulting firm, will collaborate with Sodexo to create solutions that save clients money on utilities. With combined experience exceeding 120 years in the energy industry, VIP Energy Services personnel have been actively involved in both the deregulated natural gas and Ontario electricity marketplaces. VIP is also involved in helping companies establish their energy “footprint” and work toward reducing their CO2 emissions.

“Going beyond the traditional role of the energy consultant by creating a holistic utility strategy in accordance with the client’s individual corporate objectives is the key to VIP Energy Services’ success,” said Paul Van Brunt, president of VIP.

Dean Johnson, senior vice-president of integrated facilities management at Sodexo, added: “Sodexo is delighted to partner with VIP Energy Services in order to bring more cost-effective and environmentally sustainable practices to our clients. They share the same philosophy as Sodexo in creating value for clients through long-term business relationships, and have a terrific reputation in the industry for providing innovative solutions.”

Sodexo Inc., part of the international Sodexo Group, is among the leading integrated food and facilities management services companies in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, with $7.3 billion in annual revenue and 125,000 employees. It serves more than 10 million customers daily in corporations, healthcare facilities, long-term care and retirement centers, schools, college campuses, government and remote sites.
